George Clooney is an American film actor, musician, director, writer and philanthropist. As a director, Clooney has written or co-written the scripts for a number of his movies. His first picture in this genre was Rainmaker. This was made by his friend, the late Charles Bronson. His next movie to star him was A Few Good Men, that did not do so well at the box office, but was a hit at the audience’s eye. The money failed to flow in the picture’s coffers, however, and it was not expected to do very well.

After that, Clooney decided to concentrate on dramas instead of comedies, but he did star in a few comedies, including 1997’s Man on the Moon, which was directed by Steven Spielberg and throw him together with Ben Affleck. While the film failed to perform very well at the box office, it was a beloved movie by those who watched it. He also featured in the 1998 movie Webster, which was well critically acclaimed. Following that, Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel was released, which starred Clooney as the title character.

Then he teamed up again with Spielberg for the movie Jurassic Park. This time, the movie did quite well at the box office, making him an additional Oscar nomination. Jurassic Park ranks as the highest grossing movie of all time, and its success continues today. Other big budget franchise films have followed in its footsteps, including Harry Potter and Star Wars. In fact, all of these films were produced during the golden age of blockbuster filmmaking, and George Clooney has certainly had his hands in quite a lot of memorable ones.

But, it was The Game which truly defined what a George Clooney film ought to be. The movie was directed by Clint Eastwood, and it was considered to be one of the best films of its time. It told the story of an aging retired athlete that strove to lead a normal life after being diagnosed with cancer. The film featured prospective actors such as Jeff Bridges and Bill Murray.
