After studying acting at the University of London, Clooney went to study drama at the University of California, Los Angeles. There he met future wife Amalaya Clooney, who was then employed as an assistant director on the film Napoleon Dynamite. After leaving the school, they worked together on the movie, winning the Oscar for it.

Following that success, Clooney chose to make his name more known by starring in some well-received movies. One of them was the Vanilla Sky, which didn’t do so well at the box office. As a director, Clooney has written or co-written the scripts for some of his movies. His first movie in this genre was Rainmaker. This was created by his friend, the late Charles Bronson. His next film to star him was A Few Good Men, that did not do so well at the box office, but was a hit in the viewer’s eye. The money failed to flow into the picture’s coffers, however, and it wasn’t expected to perform very well.

After that, Clooney decided to focus on dramas rather than comedies, but he’d star in a few comedies, including 1997’s Man on the Moon, which was directed by Steven Spielberg and throw him together with Ben Affleck. While the movie failed to do really well at the box office, it was a beloved movie by those who watched it. He also featured in the 1998 movie Webster, which was nicely critically acclaimed. Following this, Wes Anderson’s Grand Budapest Hotel was released, which starred Clooney as the title character.

He then teamed up again with Spielberg for the movie Jurassic Park. This time, the movie did quite well at the box office, earning him an additional Oscar nomination. Jurassic Park ranks as the highest grossing film of all time, and its success remains today. Other major budget franchise movies have followed in its footsteps, including Harry Potter and Star Wars. In actuality, all these films were created during the golden era of blockbuster filmmaking, and George Clooney has certainly had his hands in quite a lot of memorable ones.

But, it was The Game which really defined what a George Clooney film should be. The movie was directed by Clint Eastwood, and it was considered to be among the greatest films of its time. It told the story of an aging retired athlete that tried to lead a normal life after being diagnosed with cancer. The movie featured future actors including Jeff Bridges and Bill Murray.

No matter which film you prefer, chances are that you will see at least one movie from the illustrious career of George Clooney. His movies will continue to be remembered by generations of Americans. Following his stint with Hollywood, Clooney would go on to star in many independent films, including Seabiscuit and Labor Day. He would then turn his attention to films directed by fellow Hollywood screenwriters, such as author Paul Newman and director Carlito’s Way.
